An ideal cottage to suit a family looking for a peaceful retreat to view Carlisle, Hadrian’s Wall and the Solway Coast and still within a ¾  hours drive of the Lake District. The cottage sits in a former farm yard that is now a “cottage industry” with traditional butter making by the owners who live in the adjoining property.  Swallows Barn is situated 7 miles from Brampton and Carlisle and 6 miles south of the Scottish Borders.

A welcome pack of local produce is provided.  There are also traditional butter making demonstrations that can be arranged for £30.

The cottage is central heated and comprises of dining kitchen equipped with electric oven and hob, washing machine, fridge freezer and microwave.  Lounge with colour TV, views to the distant Scottish hills and patio doors to the decking with seating, you are sure to be visited by the abundance of ducks in the farm yard. First floor: Large double bedroom and children’s twin bedroom.  Bathroom with shower above bath, hand basin and WC. 

All electric, bed linen and towels included. Cot provided.  Private parking. 

 Prices are per cottage per week NOT per person. Minimum number of 3 nights for short breaks. Short breaks will only be accepted out of season or on a last minute basis for high season.
