Nestling into the lower slope of Catbells in the tiny hamlet of Little Town, only four miles from Keswick. It was in Little Town that Beatrix Potter set her children's classic Mrs Tiggy-Winkle and dedicated it to Lucie of Little Town, the local vicars daughter. Views of the surrounding fells from the cottage show the wealth of unspoilt countryside in which it is set.Croft Cottage is a three bedroom barn conversion on a traditional Lakeland building dating back several hundred years and has retained the slate pitched roof with vaulted beamed ceiling, giving a light and airy appearance to the large lounge, which gives uninterrupted views of Catbells, whilst the front of the cottage faces Causey Pike across the valley and Skiddaw dominates in the opposite direction.
Croft Cottage is oil centrally heated and comprises: Lounge with satellite TV, DVD player, video and wood burning stove. Dining room with radio/cassette player. Kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Utility room with freezer and washer/dryer. Cloakroom with hand basin and WC. Master bedroom with King size bed and two twin bedrooms. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, hand basin and WC.
All electric, oil, logs, bed linen and towels included. Cot available. Private parking for 2 cars. Private garden with seating and magnificent views.
